The Society has finally generated sufficient funds to have cedar clapboards installed on the north and the east sides of the house where the ravages of time and weather have caused serious problems. Funds were raised by ULHS from various sources, including a grant from the state. The sponsor-a-board drive raised approximately $4,000 from the community. On Thursday, August 7, 2008 board donors gathered to "autograph" the clapboards prior to their installation.
